Hola, cómo estás?
Muy bein, gracias.
…I could continue this conversation on and on but you have no idea how weird it feels to be writing in espanõl on here. Y’all better get used to it though because I’m going to be doing it a lot from now on. It’s such a confusing yet romantic language. Yo soy mucho gusto estudiar espanõl. I’ve definitely made the right choice for me.
Would I recommend studying a second language to someone else? Hell yeah, I would. So far it’s pushed me well beyond my comfort zones with language and has forced me to think in different ways. It’s confusing and downright frustrating at times but when you finally learn a phrase that you’ve been working on for an hour, it’s all worth it. It helps having a couple of good-looking friends in the class too ;] It is a lot of added pressure though. I have to admit, 99% of my stress of this semester stems from learning espanõl. I know it’ll be worth it in the end though, I’ve just got to keep on truckin’!
The week is almost over and to be honest, I’m almost glad. I need time to think and let my brain soak in all the information it’s received these past couple of days. I’ve gone from lecture to lecture to lecture with little time in-between each to let the information properly filter through all my brain-gunk. With linguistics, essays, comics, espanõl and all the workshops/tutorials mixed in; it’s a lot for my brain to take on after having a nice year-long vacation.
This was just a ‘catch up’ post to let y’all know that I’m still kickin’. I’m just getting really caught up in the college life. Now I understand why some bloggers completely disappear off the grid when they make the move to college. It’s hard to find time to sit down and write a blog post then when you finally do, you feel like you should be doing something else {like studying} with your free-time. Or is that just me?
College is good.
My friends are good.
The flat is good.
Sweet chili chicken and avocado rolls are good.
The kittens are good.
Chocolate shakers are good.
Having one lecture on Thursday and Friday is good.
Watching Batman on Thursday night with friend{s} is good.
Finally having a sunny day to wash aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall my clothes is good.

You get where I’m going with this, right?
Everything is pretty dang good at the moment. I hope it’s the same for you beautiful people!
Adios amigos!
Chocolate shakers? Whatever those are…I feel like I want one now, hahaha.

Posted by xjustanotherteenblogger | March 7, 2013, 8:38 amIt’s quite interesting to read this because I haven’t got a clue what university life is like
I’m studying Spanish too! Are you doing a languages degree?
Posted by IfAnybodyCares | March 9, 2013, 11:19 amUniversity is intense! It’s good though; better than being stuck at home and doing nothing! I’m doing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Linguistics [scientific study of English language] and specializing in Spanish :’]
